Today I made another masculine card. This card I mace for Creative watercolor media in my Altenew educator certification program. I love those classes, I learn and refresh so much knowledge.
I was playing with watercolor a lot. But I always have a lot of struggle with shadows. Then one day I bought watercolor pencils and found out that with them is a little easier make nice shadows, for me of course. For this card I colored cupcake with those pencils and then I went through with wet brush. For background I tap with ink pad on the foil and spray some water with mini mister, that watercolor reacted. Then I press watercolor paper on that and the color transfer tot he paper. For background I used Altenew crisp dye ink, Estern Sky color.
That gives you very interesting and not even colored background. When it was dry I stamp border from Basic Border stamp set. I am so happy I bought this set of borders, I can make so much staff with this set, love it. Then I stamped also sentiment from Layered cupcake stamp set. For that I use darker blue, it’s Altenew’s crisp dye ink also, this time Agurite color. From same set is also cupcake. I cut cupcake out from paper and put it on foam and glue it on card. For some more dimension I add few blue drops.
I always thought that I have problems with making masculine cards, but it turned out I don’t have them. Ideas are just coming. Let’s stay this way 🙂
Thank you for stopping by and see you next time with new card,
